Connections’ new video for “That’s All”

Here’s the video for “That’s All,” a new song from Connections slated for an upcoming release on Hozac Records. The video was produced at the Columbus Museum of Art’s Center for Creativity. As part of the January edition of the museum’s Connector Series, visitors to the museum were invited to create a rock ‘n’ roll persona and help produce this video.

Connections’ new LP out now and featured on Pitchfork

Connections, Body LanguageConnections’ new album, Body Language, is out now and is available on vinyl or in digital form via Midheaven, Insound, and Amazon, as well as at the finest of your local record stores. It will be available in the near future on a CD that will also include the Private Airplane album and Touch City EP.

Pitchfork recently reviewed Body Language, rating it a 7.4 and calling it “a smart, stupendously catchy, often downright inspiring examination of the things that get us going in spite of ourselves, set to one head-stick melody after the other.”

WV White debut set for release on Anyway

Over the past year, one excellent band after another has taken root and sprouted in Columbus, and perhaps one of the finest is WV White. The band caught our eye when they opened for The Kyle Sowashes, and they have since melded into a sonic juggernaut, albeit one with copious amounts of cough syrup and PBR. Sounding somewhat like a tripped-out Nikki Sudden and the Jacobites via “Morrison Hotel,” the band is astounding live. They are finishing up their debut album to be released on Anyway in 2014. You can read an interview with the band at The Agit Reader and in the meantime check out this video of the band performing last year:

St. Lenox at college radio

St. Lenox has been busy finalizing his debut album and playing dates across the East Coast, South and Midwest throughout the summer and fall. His single, “That Old Time Religion,” has been added to more 100 college radio stations. (Promo copies are available to finer independent record stores through Revolver USA.) His full-length should be out the first half of 2014. All press inquiries should be directed to Kellie Morgan at Straight to Video. Check out “That Old Time Religion” below.

Winter Makes Sailors and The Whiles reviewed in The FireNote

Online music magazine The FireNote recently gave positive reviews to two of our releases. They called Winter Makes Sailors’ Moving On “an intoxicating pop album” and said The Whiles’ Somber Honey “wears its romanticism and craftsmanship on its sleeve.”
