After about 12 or 13 years, Anyway is proud to welcome Central Pennsylvania’s finest rock & roller, Brother JT back to Columbus this Thursday, July 11, for a show at the Tree Bar. Thrill Jockey put out his new record, and we can’t wait to see him play again! Local faves WV White and Purple Pyramids round out this amazing bill. Show starts at 10pm!

Seems like Swearing at Motorists’ Dave Doughman has been MIA in recent years. However, he is reportedly working on a new album and is making his return to Columbus next week to play a show at the Tree Bar on Monday, May 13. Also on the bill are Connections, who consist largely of Dayton-area natives like Mr. Doughman, and Winter Makes Sailors. Be forewarned: it is on the early side, with a start time of 9pm.
St. Lenox, whose debut is forthcoming on Anyway, recently posted a new song. This one is a collaboration with our pal Parker Paul. Take a listen below.
After two successful performances supporting the Breeders on their Last Splash tour in Pittsburgh and Oberlin, Ohio, Connections have been asked to open for them again at The Majestic Theatre in Detroit on Sunday, May 12 (a.k.a. Mother’s Day). We can’t think of a better way to tell mom you love her than to take her to the show, and tickets are still available.
The latest project of Columbus music mainstay Sean Gardner, Winter Makes Sailors have released their debut album, Moving On, via Anyway and We Want Action. The record is currently on sale at Columbus stores like Used Kids, Magnolia Thunderpussy, and Lost Weekend, and will soon be available for mailorder via Midheaven.
