Connections’ new video for “That’s All”

Here’s the video for “That’s All,” a new song from Connections slated for an upcoming release on Hozac Records. The video was produced at the Columbus Museum of Art’s Center for Creativity. As part of the January edition of the museum’s Connector Series, visitors to the museum were invited to create a rock ‘n’ roll persona and help produce this video.

Pitchfork previews song from new Connections album

Connections, Body LanguageConnections’ new album, Body Language, will be out on LP/CD/digital on October 1. You can pre-order it now through our distributor, Midheaven (a.k.a. Revolver), or via iTunes or Amazon. The band has tour dates in the works to support it, some (hopefully) with the Breeders.  In the meantime, check out a track from the new album, “Summer Creeps,” kindly previewed by the folks over at Pitchfork.

Winter Makes Sailors and Connections at Treebar with Swearing at Motorists

swearingshowSeems like Swearing at Motorists’ Dave Doughman has been MIA in recent years. However, he is reportedly working on a new album and is making his return to Columbus next week to play a show at the Tree Bar on Monday, May 13. Also on the bill are Connections, who consist largely of Dayton-area natives like Mr. Doughman, and Winter Makes Sailors. Be forewarned: it is on the early side, with a start time of 9pm.

Connections opening for the Breeders in Detroit

After two successful performances supporting the Breeders on their Last Splash tour in Pittsburgh and Oberlin, Ohio, Connections have been asked to open for them again at The Majestic Theatre in Detroit on Sunday, May 12 (a.k.a. Mother’s Day). We can’t think of a better way to tell mom you love her than to take her to the show, and tickets are still available.

Connections’ Private Airplane reviewed by Pitchfork

Pitchfork says Connections’ Private Airplane “is undiluted by stinkers, throwaways, or noodly psychedelic interludes.” Read the whole review here.

Connections cover The Kinks at Anyway 20th Anniversary Celebration

Connections’ debut out now!

connectionsprivateairplanePrivate Airplane (Anyway 070), the debut album from Columbus supergroup Connections, was released earlier this month. The band features singer Kevin Elliott and guitarist Andy Hampel, both formerly of 84 Nash, Times New Viking drummer Adam Elliott, El Jesus de Magico guitarist Dave Capaldi, and bassist Philip Kim, also of Andrew Graham & Swarming Branch. The album is available in Columbus at Used Kids, Lost Weekend, Magnolia Thunderpussy, and via mailorder and download at Midheaven.
