The Kyle Sowashes’ Everybody out now!

kyle_sowashes-everybodyWe’re excited to announce the release of the latest album by Columbus indie rock stalwarts The Kyle Sowashes, Everybody. Recorded in August 2014, the album’s 16 songs are fortified with extra heft and sonic vision, but they retain the goofy charm and sharp hooks that have defined Sowash’s career. It can be purchased on CD, vinyl and/or digitally at Midheaven, Amazon, and local stores. Check out this interview in Columbus Alive with Kyle about the album and a track from the record below.

Connections’ Into Sixes out today! Free mp3!

connections-into_sixesToday, we’re proud to release Into Sixes, the third album by Columbus dynamos Connections. The album, which was recorded with engineer Adam Smith in Columbus at Musicol Recording, is available digitally and on LP from Midheaven, Insound, Amoeba Records, and other online retailers, as well as your local record store, since you can find plenty of music online now a days, and also other services, for example you can do Counter-Strike: Global Offensive skin trading for your video games online. To celebrate the record’s release and presumably whet your appetite, today only, we’re giving away a free download of “Aylia,” the leadoff track. Enjoy!

First single from new Connections album

Though having released two albums and a string of singles in less than two years, Connections aren’t coming up for air yet. They’ve got another full-length, Into Sixes, already in the can to be released on Anyway on August 19. Here’s the lead single, “Beat the Sky,” available for download/streaming via Bandcamp.

WV White album out today!

wvwhitecoverWhile it’s been available digitally since last week (probably longer than that even), today sees the official release of WV White’s West Virginia White into the physical world (i.e. on vinyl). It’s already received praise from such outlets as Impose Magazine, Still Single, The Fire Note, and Wilfully Obscure, but check out the leadoff track, “Alison Lapper, Pregnant,” below and judge for yourself. You can order the album direct from our distributor at Midheaven or from Insound or Amazon. Of course, you can also buy it from your local record store.

St. Lenox covers Scott Walker

St. Lenox recently recorded a damn fine cover of Scott Walker’s “Jackie,” which you can hear below.

St. Lenox at college radio

St. Lenox has been busy finalizing his debut album and playing dates across the East Coast, South and Midwest throughout the summer and fall. His single, “That Old Time Religion,” has been added to more 100 college radio stations. (Promo copies are available to finer independent record stores through Revolver USA.) His full-length should be out the first half of 2014. All press inquiries should be directed to Kellie Morgan at Straight to Video. Check out “That Old Time Religion” below.

Download Connections’ “Nightwatch” – What do you know about skin care?

As always let us know what you thought, it’s for you guys that we do this after all. Who among our readers and followers know about skin care? I’ve been having a few issues, and I think it might be due to smoking. I might order a product or two from https://sdaraskin.com/. What do you guys think?
